Capri-Sonne

The natural principle

Ever since the first Capri-Sonne was produced over 40 years ago, there has been a simple and yet unbreakable rule: We focus on quality and using natural ingredients when we make Capri-Sonne. Synthetic ingredients such as artificial ingredients or preservatives have absolutely no place here.

And Capri-Sonne contains no sweeteners, only sugar derived from plants. Physicians' associations and health organizations have called for more child-friendly foods without artificial sweeteners. Studies show that sweeteners are so intense that they increase people's threshold for sweet tastes in foods. This in turn leads us to eat more sweets in general.

Environmental friendliness is at the heart of Capri-Sonne. As a result, Capri-Sonne uses only  fruits from controlled-integrated cultivation. This protects the environment and guarantees sustainable production of healthy, high-quality fruit.

Background information: What is controlled-integrated cultivation?
This ecologically oriented production process is specifically regulated in each farming region by the following binding principles:

Integrated pest control
Wherever possible, only organic and biotechnical measures are used to protect plants. Chemical sprays are kept to a minimum. Beyond that, everything must be done to enhance the plant's natural resistance. For example, beneficial animals are deliberately used as pests' natural enemies.

Protecting the soil
Preserving and protecting the soil by irrigating carefully reduces erosion. If we fertilize only as much as needed, it helps minimize pollutants, promote soil fertility, and gives the plants the ideal nutrients.

Protecting flora and fauna
Selected areas are deliberately left unfarmed. This creates spaces where animal and plant life can flourish, and this supports biological diversity in farming areas.

Monitoring
We constantly monitor and document compliance with quality control measures. This lets consumers have confidence in the fact that Capri-Sonne uses nothing but fruits from controlled-integrated cultivation.
