How Capri-Sonne gets into the pouch

Once it has been printed, the foil for the Capri-Sonne pouch is sent to production in huge rolls. The rolls for the front and back of the pouch weigh up to 400 kilograms, while the ones with the bottom of the pouch are smaller and are hung from the side of the machine. The high-performance machine welds the three parts of the pouch together at high speed. At this point the pouch is still open at the top.

The pouch is filled through this opening. The fruit-juice drink is filled at a temperature of over 80°C. This keeps Capri-Sonne sterile so it won't need any additional preservatives to stay fresh for a long time. The pouch is then closed off air-tight at the top and cooled in a basin of water.

At the end of the production process, each pouch is given an orange straw. The pouches are then automatically packed into cardboard boxes and placed on palettes. Each Euro palette contains 81 cartons that each contain 4x10-packs — that equals 3240 pouches of fruity refreshment.
